We have officially been in Ascoli Piceno for one week. So far I have learned the following about the Italian culture:
- Italians do not care about time. They are never on a schedule and go with the flow.
- It is extremely loud in the mornings and at nights... Mid day is quiet.
- The grocery store is closed on Sundays so don't procrastinate your shopping or you will be eating out for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
- No matter how hard to you try to blend in, you still stand out as foreign.
After classes came to an end on Friday afternoon, we decided to go for a stroll along the river. It was beautiful.

Waterfalls
As we continued our walk, we came to a dead end where we could turn around or walk up through an olive tree farm, which we later found out was abandoned. We decided to walk up the huge hill, layered in olives. It was breathtaking
Once we reached the top we came to a farm with olives, grapes, tomatoes, leafy greens, and much more. There was a little old man who barely spoke english watering the gardens. He was very nice and tried his best to communicate with us but we didn't really know what he was saying.
